  1. doesn't seem like a worship friendly place for the masses.

  2. I'm with you on the New Testament reading but have chosen to continue reading the Old Testament in order even though I'm behind. I found that I wasn't sure what was going on if I jumped ahead. Anyway just read 2 Kings 2: 23-25 and found it disturbing (as I do many parts of the Old Testament). Having 42 youths mauled by bears a discipline for jeering one of the Lord's prophets seems STEEP.

  3. John Chapter 13 and 14 are so sad, makes me feel like my mind is trudging along through some thick goo. The gift of the Holy Spirit is truly wonderful and perfect timing but I have the advantage of knowing the entire story - the poor disciples! Question for thought -- somehow I don't think there can be an answer -- Why does God let the prince of the world exsist? (John 14: vs 30)

  4. I'm in 1 Chronicles -- actually up to Chapter 13. Oh my gosh WHERE IS THE CAFFINE! At least so far it hasn't been blood and gore. As far as the NT: saddened as I am about Jesus' mental suffering before His crucifixion, it has been good for me to read at a slower pace what he taught the disciples. Thanks for starting up this study and giving us an opportunity to blog about it.

  5. Just listened to David's Psalm of Thanks (1 Chronicles 16) and can't beleive how nice it was to hear it out loud. Thanks for that tib-bit of info. Oh and let me know if you'd like me to stop leaving comments. I don't want to be a bother.

  6. I assume that the two men in white that appeared to the disciples right after Jesus ascended to heaven were angels.

  7. What defines the CITY OF DAVID and JERUSALEM? I assumed they were the same but have read several passages that leads me to think otherwise.

  8. eternal life before Jesus?
I know some groups of Jews beleived in it; others did not. The ones that did -- how did they think that would happen? I've been trying to look up passages example Psalm 16 -- any guidance?

  9. thank you for your sermon today. It meant even more to me since I read Romans 12 back on the 13th of August. Looking forward to part two.

  11. I am completely lost with 1 Corinthians 7:25 -40. I will try to look out for it as a reading on a Sunday.
