We have completed another week of our "missional journey" through the bible. Our readings this week have been from the gospels of Luke and John. Each reading focused on the ways in which the ministry of Jesus reflects the eternal mission of God and the ways in which we are sent forth in Jesus' Name to participate in this mission in the world. Let's take a moment today to pray for God's Spirit to clothe us with power that we might go forth as ambassadors of his love and grace!
Lord Jesus
Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that
everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace; So clothe us in
your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do
not know you to the knowledge and love of you, for the honor of your Name.
Amen.
