This week begins with the introduction of the ministry of John the Baptist, who came to prepare the way of the Lord. Throughout the remainder of the week ahead, we will read about the important events surrounding the beginning of Jesus' ministry, including his baptism, temptation in the wilderness, and first teaching in the synagogue in Nazareth.
